•compare and contrast a media clip and a news article
  on the same topic
• make connections to what they already know
  about thunderstorms
• make predictions about a news article and then
  read to revise/confirm their predictions
• organize words associated with thunderstorms
  according to their meanings
• prepare a role-play based on the information in the
  video clip and news article to demonstrate understanding
  of the topic (optional activity)
• read a news article to find answers to specific questions
